Arrival in France

We arrived in France 7am local time, sans sleep, though Ellen slept a little. We rented the car and drove out of town, sans map. Eventually, we found one of the better-kept secrets of Normandy, Giverny. This required us to sample local wisdom as to the exact location of Giverny three different times. Each time, the directions were correct, though clouded perhaps by some difficulty in language. During these otherwise cryptic, to me, discussions, I noticed the Ellen nodded her head and said "oui" several times (just as I would if I did not understand a word). Eventually, we did locate Giverny and our hotel. Sans patience.
